Today Primary 3 had a fantastic time bringing their World Around Us topic to life by visiting Carrickfergus Castle! We loved exploring the castle, identifying the features we had been learning about in class, and learning more about our town. 🤩
We saw the castle keep, gatehouse, portcullis, banquet hall, dungeons and met Mr Cuddles the guard dog! 🐕 We even had to carefully walk down the spiral staircase - avoiding the trip step!
Finally, we loved dressing up as princesses, soldiers, archers, knights, lords, ladies and kings and queens! 👑 We tried on helmets, chain mail and explored different weapons! 🗡️
Then we headed to McDonald’s for lunch, Mauds for an ice cream, and the Pirate Park for an afternoon of fun! 🍟🍦🛝
