After finishing our Farm topic last week today we started our new topic and final one of the year, learning all about pirates. We have our own pirate ship where we are learning to look at a map to use it for directions, dress up like a pirate and use some pirate phrases, make a pirate beach scene by crunching up cornflakes to make sand in the finger gym, printing shells on play dough, tea staining paper to draw our own treasure maps, digging for treasure in the sand tray, counting games on the computer using underwater sea animals and a fabulous new pirate jigsaw.
