Primary 3 have been learning all about place value- how the position of a number tells us how much it is worth! 🤔
We played a dice game, where we rolled the dice and picked where to place the number so that our team would have the highest 3-digit number! 🎲
We worked out that if we rolled a high number like 5 or 6, we should put it in the hundreds column, and low numbers should go in the units column.
Then we put the numbers in order to see which team won! 🏆
Then we worked on making our own 2-digit numbers using the dienes apparatus! We chose a number card, then built that number using tens and units!
