We used Numicon explore this connection between percentages and fractions today in maths. We had to use the numicon to cover a certain percentage of the baseboard, then we had to work together to write it as a fraction in its simplest form. We learnt that fractions are ALWAYS measured out of 100, and this helped us when we were working to simplify fractions!
