Primary 3 have been looking at instructional writing! Today we looked at the recipe for making pancakes. We highlighted the key features - title, equipment list, numbered steps and bossy verbs!
Then we followed the recipe to make our own pancakes! We weighed and measured out all of the ingredients, and discussed how we measure dry ingredients in grams, and wet ingredients in millilitres! We loved choosing our own toppings! 
Finally, we created labelled diagrams of the steps to make our pancakes. We will be writing our own recipes later this week!
