Making bread in P1! π
28th Apr 2026
This week, P1 have been busy learning all about farmers and how they grow crops for us to use πΎ
We read the story of The Little Red Hen and were amazed to discover that flour is made from wheat! This inspired us to make our very own bread.
We gathered our ingredients and carefully followed a recipe to make our dough. The children loved mixing the ingredients, kneading the dough, and watching it begin to rise.
Miss McBurney will take our dough home to bake over the weekend, and we are very excited to enjoy it as toast on Monday! π
Next, we will be writing our own set of instructions on how to make bread, focusing on the key steps we followed. π
