Primary 4 had a fantastic time designing and building boats using egg cartons, straws, wooden sticks, string and card! Working in pairs, they predicted how many marbles their boats could hold before sinking. Then they tested them in the water to see the results.
Afterwards, they worked out the difference between their estimate and the actual number of marbles their boat held. Then they reflected on ways to improve their designs. Some suggested using different materials, changing the shape or creating stronger masts. Great teamwork, creativity and problem-solving from everyone! 👏😊
