Primary 3 have been learning all about our bodies! We have started to look at the different organs inside our bodies. First, we used the iPads to use the virtuali-tee to explore all the bones and organs inside our bodies!
This week we have learnt about our heart and lungs!
This week we have learnt about our heart and lungs!
First, we looked at our lungs and how they help us breathe. We did an experiment to see who had the strongest lungs - boys or girls! We talked about a fair test, and how we all had to follow the same rules! We had to hold our breath, and used a timer to record the time in seconds. Then we recorded our answers in a table. The girls won! 
Then, we looked at our heart! We discussed the heart’s job, to pump blood around our body! We were able to listen to our heart beat using a stethoscope. 
We were surprised that our heart looks differently than we thought! We looked at an anatomical picture of the heart, and compared it to how we normally see a heart drawn! Finally, we created a collage of a heart shape using tissue paper!
