P7 have been learning all about the Victorians in their WAU topic this term, and have been looking at M. C. Escher, a Dutch artist who was inspired by pattern to create beautiful Victorian tiles! This week we worked on understanding tessellation, shapes that fit together without any gaps, and then during Forest School today we worked in groups to create a large Victorian-style patterned tile! We used natural materials that we found in the garden, and really enjoyed our time outside!
