Today in Forest School, Primary 3 had lots of fun identifying and measuring autumn leaves in the school garden!
In pairs, we selected a leaf, and used our identification chart to match it to the correct type of tree.
Then, we used our rulers to measure the leaf to the nearest centimetre, and recorded our answers. When we had identified and measured three leaves, we added our results into a bar graph. 📊
Finally, we made a list of the different leaves that we found, and recorded the height of largest leaf, adding it to a whole class bar graph. We were able to discuss which tree had the tallest or shortest leaves! 🌳
